A kind of device in the material handling industry that could be utilized to lift and move loads from one place to another is known as a forklift. Every forklift part has a particular function. Different components can be used to move the load vertically or horizontally.
Mast
The forklift mast refers to all the parts which lift and lower the load. There are various kinds of masts for lifting loads to different heights: quad, simplex, duplex and triplex.
Power Supply
There are four various ways you could power a forklift: electric, gas, propane and diesel. The battery is situated in the cab underneath the seat. The propane tank is situated on the rear of the truck. The fuel tank on gas and diesel forklifts is underneath the rear of the truck.
Cab
The forklift cab is situated within the center of the truck. This is where the operator sits and accesses all the informational gauges and controls. The gas pedal, steering wheel, tilting controls, brake and lifting controls are all situated in the cab.
Frame
Carrying all the biggest forklift parts is the frame of the truck. This includes the counterweights situated at the back which prevents the truck from tipping over when loaded. The frame consists of the overhead guard which protects the operator. The undercarriage holds the wheels, driveshaft and axles.
