Used Terex Electric Scissor Lifts Ventura

How to Charge a Scissor Lift
Lots of individuals value the convenience of utilizing a scissor lift. The ease of working and the security offered from the lift's basket provide a lot more piece of mind than attempting to carry out a similar task utilizing the step of a ladder. The safety risks involved with this specific machine make it the right option for performing tasks from heights.

Nearly all scissor lifts are powered electrically by batteries that have been mounted directly onto the machine. These batteries would have to be charged after a long shift or after sitting for extended periods without use. It is an easy task to charge the batteries. This could be done without any specialized tools or equipment and requires no heavy labor.

The equipment needs to be positioned next to an electrical output so as to prepare the scissor lift for charging. This charging place should also be in a well-ventilated place. Then, in order to avoid another operator from driving away with the lift plugged in, press the emergency shut-off switch. The emergency shut off switch is the big red button found inside the basket of the lift, near the control box or the charger. Find the battery charger on the base of the lift on the right side. Normally, units which are older would have the charger mounted on the rear of the lift.

The AC extension cord must next be plugged into the charger. Be certain to charge in a well ventilated place and plug the cord into an electrical outlet. In order to prevent accidental damage from being run over, the length of the electrical cord on the battery charger is purposely short. This is because if any excess length were to drop out of the battery charger storage area when in use, extreme danger could potentially happen.
